English Again

Since the semester started Ms. Hegeman got some man to come and help us with Shakespears Midnight Summers Dream.  We get to the class and as soon as we see that the chairs are set in a circle we know that man, WT, Is in class. We then sit and discuss the do now. After we settle down we play this Game called Yosimite. I think thats how its spelled.  From time to time we do different activities teaching us more about the theatrics in Shakespeare. One time he brought everybody donuts. We worked on the play alot because tomrrow we're going to Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) to perform a scene from Midnight Summers Dream.  Other Schools will also be performing. It sounds okay but im only going cause im tired of being in school.  But overall having Wt over is a fun time because Class feels more like free time.

Community Service Dont want my Services

So apparently all seniors of Thurgood Marshall Academy must complete 25 hours of community service.  Last period after lunch Thursday and Friday half of the senior class walks across the street to the YMCA where we pick a social problem to campaign for. My group chose homelessness.  I would of went with something more simple and easy like art programs for the less fortunate.  Not only do we have a bad project but we also have these two supervisor with smart mouths. Now if you know me then you know i'm not one to take anything from no one. If they knew better they will bring it down about 6 notches.  They're actually very lucky im in the research group because my patience would of ran short real quick.  The research group just look up things for the other groups to do so basically we're the bosses out here. All i know is when those 25 hours is complete they will no longer see my face.  The short fat one has less of an attitude but the tall frail one i going to get a rude awakening if he keeps it up.

Pretty Little Liars

If you know me personally you know tv is my life. When I wake up the first thing I do is turn on the tv, get home from and turn the tv on.  I watch a variety of different shows from American idol to American Horror Story.  One of my favorite shows im watching is Pretty Little Liars on ABC Family.  The show is about a group of girl friends. One of the girls go missing and is believed to be dead while the remaining four friends are being stalked, blackmailed, and attacked. After a year of the girl, Alison Dilaurentis, died, her friends received an anonymous text from someone acting like Alison, threatening to tell all their secrets.  They get into near death experiences and get people killed.  The show is slightly scary but the mystery keeps everybody watching .  Even though this show is one of my favorites, I feel the show is being dragged out and we should find out who it is. Every once in a while they reveal who the stalker is but then show us that theyre really not the stalker.

Im Shameless but not Shameless

Recently I have discovered this show called Shameless on Showtime.  The show is about a trashy white family from Chicago. The Father is a wild drunk with many kids. The eldest sister tries to keep the family together while dealing with problems caused by her many relationships and sexual encounters ( My personal Favorite). Her little sister is thirteen but is in a rush to have sex. The eldest brother is a regular kid that gets into trouble but tries to better himself.   There's also a crazy gay boy, a younger brother,  a little black baby, a long lost sister and some family friends. There's really more to the show but I'll spear the details. I enjoy the show because I like to watch trashy entertainment. But what's different from this show and the other trashy shows I watch, is that the trashy people on the show are white.  Usually its always Latin Americans and African Americans being portrayed as the trashy low lives and I enjoy the change. Its actually deeper than what it seems.  Society as a whole often stereotypes Blacks and Hispanics as the lower class, drug abusing, violent, alcoholics.  We're always being bashed and brought to the light about our negative qualities and we barely see whites in that light. Besides the trash the story line is great and there's a character for everybody to relate to.  I recommend this show for anybody.
